Artist Statement

  I paint,  sculpt,  make prints, ... but mostly I think of myself as an Idea Person. I see something or

think of something to create, and then think about the materials I want to use to create this idea. I 

have a big bag of tricks to pull from - domestic needlework to fine art skils. At the moment, I am 

painting but do not feel locked into one theme, style, direction or material. In my latest series - 

"Chippewa Falls "- I painted the "Glen Loch" several times. One was a close-up  with a paintbrush, 

one was with  palette knife, one was as  patternized version of the dam, one was from a distance. 

Each one stands alone as an individual interesting artwork.
